Featured Producer

Born and raised in Marin County, John Merrill is no stranger to making movies. As a young sixth grader, John and his brothers exhibited some amazing talent and creativity filming and editing their own work. They directed, produced and acted in short films about being a kid in Marin County in the 70's. Some of these videos played on channel 26 in 2009 and they were very entertaining. (Amateur Videos of the 70's)

Since moving to Petaluma several years ago and joining Petaluma Community access in 2008, John has been a regular producer with several videos to his name:
American Graffiti 2008, 2009 and 2010

California Jet Boating

California Rock Climbing

Hiking in the Park

Sonoma/Marin County Fair

Sand Sculptures

Celebrating Woodstock

Welcome Home Troops

Parading on Butter & Eggs

River Town Revival

Miniature Golf
John has a passion for making movies and he is always ready to volunteer. He is very well liked and respected for his dedication and good manners. That is why it was a real joy to witness him receive an award from President Joe Noriel and Mark Tomlinson of the Petaluma Museum on December 21, 2010, in gratitude for the excellent work in filming the Vietnam War Experience and the Soldiers Stories.

Also, important to mention was the long day in the sun filming the Annual Police K-9 Trials at Lucchesi Park in Petaluma in 2009, and then many hours of editing - always very graciously.

John Merrill is a PCA member-producer and a volunteer doing what he loves best, and for this, PCA viewers are blessed with good entertainment.
