PETALUMA, CA (1/24/12) – Petaluma Community Access (PCA) is changing the scheduled hours it is open for public operations. Instead of being open from 3:00 to 9:00PM - Mon/Tues/Thurs/Friday, the PCA offices will now be open to the public from 2:00 to 8:00PM. This change will go into effect on Monday, February 6th. Saturday hours of operation from 11:00AM to 3:00PM will not change.
PCA is a non-profit community resource that makes digital video cameras and editing facilities available to residents of Petaluma and the immediate region. The media services PCA provides to the public will not be affected by these new hours of operation. PCA office at 205 Keller Street will remain open for equipment pick up & return, digital editing sessions, producer reservations, requests for DVD copies, raw stock purchases, technical support and new member orientation. Radio Project programs broadcast on channel 27 are produced in the PCA office, and will no longer be scheduled after 8:00PM. PCA Advanced Classes are held on Wednesday evenings when PCA is closed to the public, and those hours are not affected by this change.
PCA is adopting these new hours of operation to better accommodate the needs of members who use PCA resources to produce their television shows. Dedicated staff is quite often at the office when it is closed to the public, doing the technical and administrative tasks vital to the functioning of the station. In conjunction with new operating hours, and to make video production as easy as possible for its members, PCA is also instituting an ‘Access by Appointment’ procedure to allow advanced producers to use the facilities for digital editing or special production needs at times when PCA is normally closed to the public.

Mon/Tues/ Thurs/Friday 2:00 to 8:00PM
Saturday 11:00AM to 3:00PM
